The Recognition Road Map was created to assist all of our American Cancer Society volunteers to have a guideline as to when they can and should be recognizing the amazing hard work and dedication of our fellow volunteers. This Road Map can be used for Relay For Life, Determination, Making Strides Against Breast Cancer and any other of our many fundraising events.
A few of the key “stops” along the way to your events would be:
- Registration – reach out to newly registered participants
- First Donation – send out a thanks for taking the first step
- Close To Goal – great time to reach out and encourage that last push to make goal
- Goal Met – give a high five for reaching goal and maybe beyond
- Pre-Event – use any of your pre-event meetings or calls to give a shout out
- At Event – you will have several opportunities during the event to recognize all the super star volunteers
- Post-Event – yes, let’s celebrate all the hard work and dedication put into making your event a success
We will continue to add in more ideas on “stops” along the road to your events, but for now, let’s get that recognition trip started!
