Purpose:  

The Community Fundraising Awards program recognizes exceptional volunteers, teams, partners, and events that exemplify the mission of the American Cancer Society through fundraising impact, innovation, community engagement, and leadership. The Community Fundraising Awards Volunteer Lead plays a critical role in ensuring that the program is strategic, equitable, inspiring, and aligns with organizational goals to celebrate and elevate excellence in community fundraising. 

Role Focus:  

The CF VAL oversees the planning, execution, and volunteer experience of the Community Fundraising Awards selection and celebration process. This includes developing award criteria, managing volunteer review panels, coordinating communications, and leading national recognition moments that celebrate top‑performing volunteers and events across ACS Community Fundraising programs.
