Meet Our Voices

In 2005  I participated in my first ACS event.  Up until that year, I had only known the ugly side of cancer.  I had become a caregiver 44 years ago, when my aunt had cancer.  In 2006, I lost my father and best friend to cancer and in 2008 I lost my brother.  I learned about caregiving and that was the only side of cancer that I really knew.
I have participated in Climb to Conquer Cancer, multiple Relays and then joined a traveling relay team. I have held every position on an ELT, volunteered at Strides events, and held Bark For Life events. I am a Voice of Hope and a Global Hero of Hope. I serve on many committees as well. I strive to promote cancer awareness and to raise funds for the American Cancer Society.  This is my passion.
Then, on December 19,2023, I heard the words “it’s cancer”. I have been diagnosed with Invasive Ductal and Lobular breast cancer.  I have found a lot of support through the Reach to Recovery program and have used Cancer.org to research my diagnosis. I will start my journey soon with a mastectomy and then on to treatment.  I know the American Cancer Society it there to help me 24/7 and my ACS family has my back, with whatever and whenever I need them.
My name is Robin Campbell. I live in Kingman, Arizona. I am married and we have 3 fur babies. I am also the proud grandmother of twin boys. I like to dance and sing, as well as cook and travel. I love to attend events all around the world, to learn how they present the advancements in cancer, and what works for their community. One day soon, I hope to see a world without cancer.
