Kimberly Johnson

“I had cancer, cancer did not have me!”

My name is Kimberly Johnson.  I’m originally from Jacksonville, FL, but have lived in Alabama for all but 12 years of my life.  I have called Cullman, AL my home for the past 26 years.  I am a writer, a speaker, a singer, a Realtor, a Real Estate investor and a Life Coach, but most importantly a wife and Mom!  I am married to a wonderful man, Jeremy, and I am blessed to be mom to 2 incredible young men, Presley who is 20, and Dante who just turned 14.   They are my heart and my reason!

I am grateful to be a 6-year breast and cervical cancer survivor.  I was diagnosed in November 2016 and spent the next 18 months battling for my life with chemo, radiation, and several surgeries.  I am a Voice of Hope for the American Cancer Society!  I have been involved in Relay For Life for 6 years and have spoken at many different Relays events across the state of Alabama since becoming a Voice of Hope.

The most important things I learned along the way… I could not have survived this journey alone. My husband, my family and my tribe were my rock, my roots, my everything!   When you have cancer, everyone who loves you is affected.

My goal is to help those fighting.  I encourage them to have a positive outlook from a position of strength.   I encourage not only patients and survivors, but also caregivers, as they are such an integral factor in our survival.  They need to know how much they are needed and appreciated!

I’ve learned to live each day to the fullest.  I give God thanks for each moment I am given with those I love!
