Hi, my name is Hannah Adams, and I am from Birmingham, AL. I am a summa cum laude graduate of The University of Alabama with degrees in Political Science and Public Relations. I plan to work in policy. I have been involved in the Miss America Organization since 2018. I was crowned Miss Florida’s Teen 2019 & 2020, and I have placed consistently in the Top 5 of Miss Alabama throughout various years. I am also the 2024 University of Alabama Homecoming Queen and promoted pediatric cancer as my platform throughout the campaign process.

When I was 5.5 years old, I was diagnosed with Stage 3 Nephroblastoma and had to endure chemo, radiation, and surgery for treatment. Today, I am a proud pediatric cancer survivor! I first became involved with the American Cancer Society in 2014 at eight years old by sharing my story and fundraising by holding lemonade stands in my neighborhood. It was my first hands-on experience in community service and speaking to audiences. Today, I remain involved through Relay for Life and serve on the American Cancer Society Gold Together for Childhood Cancer Advisory Council. I mentor Gold Together ambassadors, fundraise, and give insights into marketing tools.

My efforts focus on community and legislative awareness as well as family support for the pediatric cancer community. I have tirelessly lobbied on Capitol Hill for years and helped with the passage of a handful of bills. My most meaningful moments are connecting with other families and bringing them hope. I continue in this fight because I have lost many friends to this disease and never want another child to face a cancer diagnosis. I will continue creating positive changes in different avenues for pediatric cancer such as raising awareness, funding, research, and legislation that propels cancer treatment development.
