What you should know about me, George Diver?  I live with my wife, Barbara, of over 40 years in Broadview Heights, OH, a suburb of Cleveland.  I am retired after 42 years with the Sherwin Williams Co. holding the Senior Vice-President of Sales & Marketing for The Americas Group as my last position.  I love to travel, play golf, and spend time with my family including my daughter.  Oh; I HATE TO LOSE!

So, when my wife was diagnosed with breast cancer over 30 years ago, I embraced the role of caregiver and joined the fight with her.  No way we would lose this battle.  Over the next several years I stood beside her as together we battled her cancer until she was cancer-free.  I am so proud of what she has accomplished and glad to have had a small role in driving our family to a cure.  It was a great feeling that motivated us to help others, so it was time to continue the fight.  We got involved in Relay for Life where I have had the opportunity to speak as a caregiver, walk, volunteer and help fundraising efforts to support the mission of the American Cancer Society.

I am so eager to talk to others about our journey; the ups and downs along the way, the tough times, and the wonderful wins that have led us to supporting ACS with our time, funds, and participation.  I want you to join me, to once and for all, eliminate this terrible disease.  Did I mention that I hate to lose?  So, the fight continues until we all win together.
