Create letter of encouragement for cancer survivors and healthcare workers!
Timeline: Anytime throughout the year
Materials: construction paper, markers, stickers, pens
Set Up: Find 30 minutes (or more) to let students fold paper into cards then write & decorate cards to bring joy to someone’s life as they know someone is routing for them in their cancer journey! Then, combine all letters in one box and mail to an American Cancer Society Hope Lodge (see locations here).
Safety: Do not include personal information on cards.
Tips:
- Use signoffs like “From your friends at West High School, MA” or “With hope from 7th graders at West Middle School, MA”.
