Campus Recruitment Troubleshooting
We have all heard complaints or excuses when trying to recruit a new participant. Below are some of the most common reasons that students don’t want to follow through with registering. With each deterrent, you will find a solution that you can provide to the student to encourage them!
The registration fee is too high
Solution: Ask 5 friends or family members to venmo you $5 as a donation to the American Cancer Society. You can register without any money coming out of your own pocket! We also offer several discount codes throughout the year that will take $5 off the registration fee.
The registration process is too difficult
Solution: I promise it’s not! You just need to make an account then answer a few easy questions. Let’s walk through the steps together.
I don’t know anyone else going
Solution: Everyone is welcome at Relay For Life! Invite some friends to join you at the event. If you are part of another club at school, I would be happy to come share some info with the other members and help you all make a team together!
I am busy that day and can’t attend
Solution: You can still register as a donation to our Relay For Life event and to support such a great cause. Fundraising online makes just as big of a difference as attending the event.
