Pup Walk

Overall Cost: $
Complexity: 1

You need to walk your dog, so why not walk with everyone else in your community at the same time? A pup walk can be as simple as selling a ticket, providing a goodie bag, and arranging a meetup location, or as elaborate as closing down the streets, adding in contests, and making a parade and festival out of it. Go wild!

Things to Consider

  • CHALLENGES TO CONSIDER: Make sure everyone is safe, that there is water provided for dogs and their owners, and that expectations are set for everyone to play nicely with each other!
  • THE BEST TIME TO DO THIS: An ideal time for this event is in the Spring or Fall, when it’s not too warm or cold for pups and humans!
  • SPONSORING OR PARTNERING ORGANIZATION: A local pet store, doggy day care, or veterinarian are good partners. is your best bet.
    • You could also ask them to have trainers on hand to offer advice (fora small extra donation!).
