Bake off Challenge

Overall Cost: $$
Complexity: 4

Invite bakers to enter their best creations—cakes, cookies, pies, or any themed treat—and charge a small entry fee. Secure a venue with tables for displaying baked goods and space for judges or tasters. Decide whether the winners will be chosen by a judging panel, by public voting, or by “vote with a donation,” where each dollar counts as a vote and boosts fundraising. Sell tasting tickets or sample plates so attendees can try entries and support the event. Offer simple category prizes like Best Overall, Most Creative, or Crowd Favorite. Promote the event widely, highlight your mission during the challenge, and provide a clear donation station or QR code.

Things to Consider

  • Make sure that you ask each baker to list any allergens that may be present in their dish as a part of their submissions.
