Gordy's Give Back Day - ELT Resources
Gordy’s Give Back Day on May 1, 2025, honors 40 Years of Impact by encouraging Relayers to give or fundraise $40 in tribute to Dr. Gordy Klatt’s legacy. This challenge unites communities to support the future of Relay For Life and our mission to end cancer as we know it, for everyone.

Incentives
While this crowdfunding-style challenge has no nationwide incentives, we encourage local events to put their own spin on Gordy’s Give Back Day and encourage local participation.
Marketing Tools & Emails
- Event Landing Page
- Each event has an event-specific Give Back landing page, which you can find by visiting the Gordy’s Give Back Day public site and clicking “Find Your Event’s Give Back Page”.
- This page can be customized with a local message. Staff partners should submit their local messaging no later than Monday, April 28 at 5pm CT using this form.
- Both the nationwide Give Back page and the event Give Back page will update approximately every 2 hours starting on May 1 at 12am EDT with your event’s Give Back fundraising total. To support our west-coast events, this will continue updating until 12am Pacific Time (3am ET)
- Emails
- A centralized/nationiwide email will be sent to all participants & lapsed participants on May 1
- An EMC template is available here for local events with a suggested audience of donors specifically to be sent on May 1.
- Event Websites
- Event websites will be updated with a nationwide announcement for you.
- Social Media Assets
- Social Assets and suggested post content is available below.
