Gold Together Day Surpasses Goal with $251,205 Raised

Gold Together Day was a powerful reminder of what we can accomplish together. In just one day, Relay For Life volunteers, teams, and supporters across the country came together to raise $251,205.98, surpassing our nationwide goal of $240,000 to fund childhood cancer research, advocacy, and family support through the American Cancer Society.

These funds will directly support research grants focused on pediatric and adolescent cancers and expand vital programs designed to improve long-term survivorship and quality of life for children and teens who have faced cancer. Through initiatives like ACS PAWS, ACS is providing funding for services for those facing the overwhelming journey of a pediatric cancer diagnosis. Shelle Arnold, Volunteer Lead of the Gold Together Advisory Council, reflected on the success of the day: “Gold Together Day proves the power of our Relay For Life community. Every dollar raised is more than a donation — it’s hope and progress for children and families facing cancer. Surpassing our goal shows our determination to make childhood cancer a priority until every child has the future they deserve. Thank you to everyone who gave and rallied — your impact will last for years to come.” To celebrate the incredible effort of our participants, 100 fundraisers who raised more than $40 on Gold Together Day will win an exclusive Gold Together blanket. The drawing will be held later today, and winners will be contacted directly via email by the end of the week. As we celebrate this milestone, the impact of Gold Together Day continues to ripple outward. Each gift moves us closer to a world where every child and adolescent cancer survivor has the chance not just to survive, but to thrive.
