The 2026 Nationwide Pat Flynn Spirit of Relay Award Nominations Are Open!

The Pat Flynn Spirit of Relay Awards are intended to honor and recognize those that embody the same spirit of Relay that the “Mother of Relay” – Pat Flynn – inspired in Relay participants around the world.  She helped turn an idea into a movement that would reach countless communities, raising over $7 billion help end cancer as we know it, for everyone.

Except for the staff award, nominations may be submitted by volunteers or staff partners. Nominees are first reviewed at the regional level, where winners are selected in each category. Regional winners then advance to a nationwide volunteer panel for final selection.

There will be one Nationwide winner for Campus and Community in each nomination based category.  Nominations are due November 6th

This year’s Nationwide Spirit of Relay awards will recognize the following categories:

  • Event of the Year
  • Team of the Year
  • Relayer of the Year
  • Corporate Impact of the Year
  • ACS Staff Partner of the Year

The details and criteria for each of these awards can be found here.  There you will also find the link for the online nomination submission form.
