As part of the 2024 Pat Flynn Spirit of Relay Awards, we are proud to announce that Jason Masony has been named the 2024 Nationwide Relayer of the Year. His dedication to the American Cancer Society (ACS) and Relay For Life have made a profound impact.
In 2024, Jason raised an incredible $61,225.71, significantly increasing his fundraising efforts from previous years. His creative strategies, including TopGolf events and social media campaigns, helped Relay For Life of Medina County raise over $118,000, surpassing their goal for the third year in a row.
Jason is deeply committed to ACS programs such as Road to Recovery and Hope Lodge, advocating for their impact beyond just fundraising. His personal connection to the mission—having lost his first wife to cancer—drives his passion and dedication. Jason is also a Voice of Hope and a Global Hero of Hope, working tirelessly to end cancer as we know it, for everyone.
As Jason shared in his video: “It’s not just about raising money; it’s about raising awareness and making sure that people understand what we’re really doing here, and why it matters.”
Jason’s leadership also extends to the Luminaria ceremony, which he has worked to improve year after year. His efforts ensure that Relay For Life of Medina County continues to be a standout event in their community, inspiring others to join the fight against cancer.
In a special moment, Suzy Lawrence, the Nationwide Relay For Life volunteer co-lead, surprised Jason and his staff partner (and nominator) Jennifer Snodgrass on a video call to share the exciting news. You can watch the full video here or in the video player below.
Congratulations, Jason, on being named the 2024 Nationwide Relayer of the Year!
