Marie Daly promoted to SVP, Community Fundraising

Veteran leader moves from interim to permanent role on Sept. 26.

Earlier this week, Mike Neal, chief of organizational advancement, announced the promotion of Marie Daly to senior vice president, Community Fundraising, effective Monday, Sept. 26.

“Marie has graciously served in an interim capacity over the last three months and has been instrumental in not only supporting our national community fundraising and distinguished events strategy, but also the community fundraising leadership team during this transition,” Mike shared in an email to American Cancer Society leaders and some members of the Community Fundraising leadership team.

As a veteran leader, Marie brings more than 16 years of volunteerism, community fundraising and mission impact experience to this role. She began her career with ACS in 2006 as a community-based fundraiser and has held a variety of leadership roles throughout her tenure. Prior to her most recent national role, Marie served as vice president of Community Development for the North Region, where she managed a team of 185 staff and raised $40 million annually.

Many thanks to Marie for her ongoing leadership and congratulations on this well-deserved promotion!
