Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of Phoenix would not be the same without dedicated individuals like Carol, our 2024 Strider of the Year! 
ABOUT CAROL & MAKING STRIDES
Carol has secured her place as a Pacesetter, raising an incredible $4,331 at the time of nomination! But her impact goes far beyond fundraising—she and her Achieve team have been instrumental in making our event a success from start to finish.
Dedicated to the CauseCarol’s passion extends statewide—she was one of six volunteers selected for Arizona’s new Volunteer Leadership Board, helping to empower others in the fight against cancer. She even traveled to Flagstaff to volunteer at the Climb to Conquer Cancer event!
A Voice of HopeCarol shares her own cancer journey with her community, advocating for early detection and screening. Her dedication inspired both personal and professional networks to elevate her fundraising and support the event in bigger ways than ever before.
A Leader in ActionCarol helped revamp the set-up day experience, ensuring a smooth and efficient process for all involved. She brought out 20+ of her staff to assist both before and during the event, demonstrating true leadership and teamwork.
Year-Round SupporterCarol is one of nine members on the Making Strides of Phoenix Experience Force Volunteer Committee, working behind the scenes all year long—tabling, assisting at kickoff events, volunteering, and more!
Behind-the-Scenes MVPCarol and her team went above and beyond, hosting volunteer parties to assist with event prep—printing, laminating, assembling tribute pinwheels, and even constructing our iconic pink ribbons! She also played a crucial role in securing in-kind donations, including a forklift driver and a box truck to help deliver water and supplies.
Carol’s unwavering determination to end cancer as we know it has been a driving force behind the success of Making Strides of Phoenix this year. We are beyond grateful for her leadership, dedication, and heart.
