#WhyIRelay Relay For Life Challenge
April 27-30, 2023
This 4-day fundraising challenge will focus on reminding people of the reasons we all come together at Relay For Life; to celebrate, remember and fight back. The luminaria serves as a physical symbol of each person’s reason to Relay. During this challenge individuals will be asked to focus on selling luminaria and honoring each person’s reason to celebrate, remember or fight back. Because there is no perfect way to track luminaria donations, the tracking method of this challenge will be on dollars raised.
NOTE: Campus events are excluded from the #WhyIRelay Challenge.
Individual Prizes
Relay For Life-engraved tumblers will be awarded at the end of the challenge to the top 100 participants by total fundraising during the challenge period.
Event Prizes
Events will be competing to get as many participants to raise $100 as possible during the challenge.
- Events must have a minimum of 50 participants registered by Friday, April 21 at 3pm CDT to qualify.
- Online and offline donations count but they must be entered online by 11:59pm (CDT) on Sunday, April 30th
- There will be 3 categories to give events of all sizes a chance to win. The top 5 events in each category will win a 25-foot inflatable arch, branded with new ACS & Relay For Life logo.
- Categories were determined by the total number of registered participants as of Friday, April 21, 2023 at 3pm CDT.
- 3 categories, 5 winners in each category
