40 Years of Impact Fundraising Challenge
April 7-10, 2025
Join us as we celebrate 40 Years of Relay For Life Impact with an exciting 4-day fundraising challenge! From Monday, April 7, to Thursday, April 10, participants across all 2025 Relay For Life events (including campus & community Relays) have the chance to earn exclusive rewards while making a difference as we work to end cancer as we know it, for everyone.
How to Participate
💜 Raise $100 or more during the challenge period (April 7-10) to earn 40 Bonus Points in Relay Rewards! Bonus Points can be redeemed for a commemorative tech sticker or used toward other Relay Rewards items.
🎉 If your event has 50 or more registered participants by March 31, it qualifies to compete for an event-level prize (see details below)!
Challenge period is April 7 12:00am EDT – April 10 11:59pm EDT. Event must have 50 or more participants registered by March 31, 2025 at 11:59pm EDT to qualify for event incentives. Participants at events that do not qualify will still qualify for bonus rewards points.
Individual Prizes
Raise $100 or more during the challenge period (April 7-10, 2025) and earn 40 Bonus Points in Relay Rewards!
What can you redeem?
- Use your 40 Bonus Points to claim a special commemorative tech sticker celebrating 40 Years of Relay For Life.
- Or, put your points toward other great items in the Relay Rewards store!
Event Prizes
The top two Relay For Life events in each category with the most participants raising $100 or more during the challenge period will win a brand-new 5-foot tall inflatable “RELAY” letters display to showcase in their community!
- Events will be grouped into three categories based on their registration numbers as of March 31, 2025.
- Campus events will compete separately, with one college and one high school Relay event each winning an inflatable RELAY display!
In the event of a tie, the total amount raised by the event during the challenge period will be used as a tiebreaker.

- Nationwide email sends on 4/7 and 4/9
- No EMC sends available/needed for this challenge.

Event Websites
- An announcement will be added to all RFL websites – no action is required at the local level.
- The web banner at the top of the page will be updated on your behalf during the challenge – no action required at the local level.
Leaderboard
We’ll be updating the leaderboard daily so you can see how your event is stacking up. (Final results will be posted after April 10!)
